Accessibility Statement

Last updated: March 2026

ASL Real Estate Collective is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone — including people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, low vision, or have other disabilities. We believe that every person has the right to access information, education, and opportunity without barriers.

"Accessibility is our reason for existing. We were built because the Deaf community deserved better access to real estate education — and we hold that same standard for our own digital presence."

1. Our commitment

We are committed to providing a website experience that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users. We work continuously to identify and resolve accessibility issues and to improve the experience for users of assistive technology.

2. Standards we follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the current international standard for web accessibility. These guidelines cover four core principles:

  • Perceivable — information and user interface components are presented in ways users can perceive
  • Operable — interface components and navigation are operable by all users
  • Understandable — information and operation of the interface is understandable
  • Robust — content can be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of assistive technologies

3. Measures we take

To support accessibility, we have implemented the following on this website:

  • Skip-to-content link on every page so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation
  • Semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, nav, footer, section) to support screen reader navigation
  • All sections labeled with aria-labelledby pointing to visible headings
  • All interactive elements (buttons, links, form inputs) are keyboard accessible and have visible focus indicators
  • All images include descriptive alt text, or are marked aria-hidden when decorative
  • All SVG icons include aria-hidden="true" and focusable="false"
  • Form inputs use visible labels, and radio/checkbox groups use fieldset and legend
  • Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • The site respects the user's prefers-reduced-motion system setting — animations are disabled when that preference is active
  • Interactive toggles and accordions manage aria-expanded states
  • Embedded YouTube videos include descriptive title attributes and loading="lazy"
  • Mobile navigation uses role="dialog", aria-modal="true", focus management, and Escape key support

4. ASL access — our core commitment

This Collective was built for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. All video content we produce is created in American Sign Language first. We also add:

  • Captions on all course videos, webinars, and recordings
  • Voiceover for hearing users or those who prefer audio
  • ASL as the primary language — not a translation of English content

This means Deaf users are not accommodated as an afterthought — they are our primary audience, and all content is designed with them first.

5. Known limitations

While we aim for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas of the site may not yet meet every guideline:

  • Third-party embeds — forms and tools provided by Go High Level (GHL) and YouTube are embedded from external platforms. We do not control the accessibility of those tools and encourage those providers to meet accessibility standards.
  • Legacy content — older video content produced before our current standards may not have full captioning. We are working to address this over time.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our site, please let us know. We take all reports seriously and work to resolve them promptly.

6. Feedback & contact

We genuinely want to hear from you. If you experience any difficulty accessing content on our site, or if you have suggestions for how we can improve:

Email us: toni@tcsrealestateinternational.com
Subject line: Accessibility Feedback

Please include a description of the issue, the URL of the page where you experienced it, and what assistive technology or browser you were using. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

7. Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility issue, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice ADA Information Line or your country's relevant disability rights body.
